Privacy notice
How the booking form's details are handled under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, in plain words.
Who is responsible
The Krugersdorp Plumbers is the responsible party for the details collected on this website. To ask about your information, use the booking form and say in the message that it is a privacy request.
What the booking form collects
- your name and phone number, so we can phone you back;
- your suburb, so we know whether and when we can get to you;
- the job and a short description, if you choose to give them;
- an email address, only if you want a price or invoice sent by email.
The site has no analytics or advertising trackers, sets no marketing cookies, and does not ask for your street address until a visit is booked by phone.
Why it is used
Only to answer the request you sent: to phone you, to plan a visit, to send a price and an invoice. It is not sold, rented out or added to mailing lists, and you will not be sent marketing.
Who else handles it
The form is delivered by email through a sending service (Resend) and passes through the website's hosting (Cloudflare). Both handle the message only to deliver it. If the plumber who comes out works with us rather than for us, your details go to that plumber for the job and nothing else.
How long it is kept
Requests that do not turn into a job are deleted within six months. Records of work done are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, and then deleted.
Your rights
At any time you can request a copy of what is on file, have a mistake fixed, or have the record removed unless the law says it must be kept. If you feel a request was mishandled, the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za) takes complaints under POPIA.
